The Department o History was established in the year 1964, the year of
the inception of the College with Prof. A.K. Premajam as Head and Prof.
Manikya Vasagan Pillai and Prof. P.P. Narayanan Namboodiri as members of
the teaching staff. The B.A. degree course in history was started in
the year 1979. A small heritage museum is attached with the department.
Our department library consists of more than 1200 books.
